One Nation NSW wants to introduce DNA testing of people who claim Aboriginal ancestry, according to party policy documents.

State Party leader Mark Latham says this would stop "welfare rorters" and stop "self-identification".

"We will tighten the eligibility rules for Aboriginal identity to require DNA evidence of at least 25 per cent Indigenous - the equivalent of one fully Aboriginal grandparent," the party in a policy document ahead of the March 23 state election.
