One dead, three injured in Tamworth crash

A 73-year-old man has been killed and three others injured in a car crash near Tamworth.
Police believe the car, which was being driven by a 64-year-old man, flipped and trapped the passengers on the New England Highway on Tuesday afternoon.
A 64-year-old woman was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital with serious injuries, while the driver and other female passenger, also 64, were taken by ambulance to Tamworth Base Hospital with minor injuries.
