NSW woman dies after being struck by car

An elderly woman has died after being hit by a car as she was crossing the street on the NSW Central Coast.

The 87-year-old died at the scene in East Gosford on Tuesday night, police say.

The driver of the car, a 76-year-old local man, was uninjured.

He was taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
