NSW truck driver charged over deadly crash

A truck driver has been charged after a crash that killed a 36-year-old man on the NSW south coast.

A three-year-old boy travelling in the man's car was injured in the crash at Tomerong, south of Nowra, on December 21.

Police say the 42-year-old truck driver's semi-trailer flipped onto its side, crossed onto the wrong side of the road and struck the 36-year-old's 4WD.

A third car crashed into a street sign to avoid hitting the truck and 4WD, injuring a man and woman, both aged 23.

The truck driver was arrested on Sunday and charged with dangerous driving occasioning death.

He was granted bail and is expected to face Nowra Local Court in January.
