Emergency services will spend Tuesday responding to more than 1200 calls for help received since Sunday after more than a week of wild weather on the NSW coast.

The State Emergency Service was again kept busy on Sunday after rain, wind and hail brought down trees in Penrith and Hornsby.

The Bureau of Meteorology says NSW will likely be given a break until Thursday from the wild weather that has battered the state for eight straight days.

Conditions are expected to be a pleasant 25C with a chance of showers on Tuesday, ahead of a band of rain which is expected to hit the state's east coast on Thursday.
