NSW policeman facing charges over crossbow

A NSW police officer faces criminal charges after he was allegedly found in possession of an illegal crossbow in the state's far west.
The senior constable was arrested on Tuesday after police searched a home in Gol Gol and allegedly found the weapon, a rifle with accessories and ammunition.
He was charged with several offences including possessing a prohibited weapon without a permit and possessing an unregistered firearm.

He is due to appear in Wentworth Local Court in early June.
