NSW man swiftly jailed for lewd act

A man who masturbated outside a Sydney primary school has been jailed on the same day he committed his crime after police dragged him before a magistrate.

The 44-year-old man was arrested soon after exposing himself to children and parents in Cabramatta on Friday morning.

He appeared before Liverpool Local Court shortly after the arrest, where he was promptly jailed for a maximum of one year.

He was charged with two counts of committing acts of indecency with a person under 16, two counts of committing acts of indecency with a person over 16, and wilful and obscene exposure near a school.

The man was found guilty of all counts, and received a minimum sentence of nine months.
