NSW man sought child sex on dating service

A Sydney man has been charged after allegedly using an online dating service to try to groom children for sex.

Police raided the man's South Wentworthville home on Friday morning, seizing a computer, a tablet and numerous mobile phones.

At least one phone allegedly contained child abuse material and conversations relating to child exploitation and grooming.

The 31-year-old man has been charged with a string of offences including using a carriage service to plan a sexual act with children, and producing and possessing child abuse material.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.
