NSW man in court for double road fatality

A NSW man charged following a fiery road crash in the state's Riverina region that killed two people has appeared in court.
Peter James Clout, 60, was charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and two counts of negligent driving causing death following the incident on January 25.
Police allege Clout was driving down Muttama Road, Coolac, at about 10.30am when his ute collided with a motorbike travelling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, a 52-year-old man, and his passenger, a 47-year-old woman, both died at the scene.
Clout's car caught fire but he escaped the crash uninjured.
He will reappear at Cootamundra Local Court on November 2.
