NSW man dies in two-car collision

A 72-year-old man has died in a two-car collision in the state's southwest.

The accident happened at Coolac, near Gundagai, on Wednesday afternoon, police say.

The man was driving a Landcruiser towing a tractor piece with a 46-year-old passenger, while a 40-year-old man was driving a 4WD ute.

He died at the scene on Gundagai Road.

The other men have been taken to hospital.

The 40-year-old driver of the ute is in a serious but stable condition, and the 46-year-old has minor injuries.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
