NSW teen critical after explosion causes burns to 80 percent of body

A teenager has suffered burns to 80 percent of his body following an explosion in southeastern NSW.
Police were called to a home in Queanbeyan just after 10pm last night following reports of a loud explosion.
An 18-year-old man was found suffering burns and treated at the scene before being taken to Canberra Hospital in a critical condition.

He is expected to be airlifted to Concord Hospital.
A crime scene has been established, but it's believed the incident is related to a gas explosion, police said.
