NSW man charged with murdering his mother

A 19-year-old man has been charged with the stabbing murder of his mother after police found him at the scene of a car crash in northern NSW.

Officers were called to the single-vehicle crash on Copeton Dam Road Monday afternoon and acting on information given at the scene police went to a home at Inverell where they found the body of a 51-year-old woman with stab wounds.

Her son has been charged with the murder of his mother and been refused bail to appear in Moree Local Court on Tuesday.
