NSW man charged with child porn offences

A NSW man has been charged with child sex offences after he allegedly shared abuse material over the internet.

The 50-year-old man, from Weston in the Hunter region, was arrested on Wednesday by the Sex Crimes Squad following a two-year covert investigation into the alleged offences.

Police seized computers, external storage devices and mobile phones from his home and charged him with two counts of using a carriage service for child pornography.

He was granted bail to appear before Cessnock Local Court on February 26.
