NSW man charged following citizen's arrest

A man has been charged over an alleged armed robbery following a citizen's arrest in Sydney's west.
Police say a 29-year-old man held up an Emerton store about 5.30am on Saturday and fled with numerous items.
A short time later, he was detained by local residents after he allegedly stole a car and crashed into three vehicles near Bunting Street.

The man has been charged with several offences, including robbery while armed with an offensive weapon and aggravated break and enter.
He was refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Sunday.
