NSW man charged after alleged knifing

A NSW woman has undergone surgery after her arm was cut deeply during an alleged knife attack following an argument with a young man.

The injured 31-year-old was found at a resort on the Pacific Highway at Coffs Harbour about midnight on Friday and a man was arrested a short distance away, police say.

The woman was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus for surgery while the 27-year-old man, who was charged with reckless wounding, has been refused bail to appear at Coffs Harbour Bail Court on Sunday.
