NSW girl's death: second person charged

A second person has been charged over the death of a 12-year-old girl who was allegedly murdered by her stepfather in the NSW Hunter Valley.

Police allege the girl's body was found in her bedroom at Aberglasslyn last September.

Her 31-year-old de facto stepfather has been charged with murder and his case is before the courts.

Another person, a 34-year-old woman was charged with manslaughter and was due to appear in Maitland Local Court on Thursday, police say.
