NSW's firefighting forces are to set be pumped up by the delivery of more than 100 new fire trucks.

With a predicted difficult bushfire season ahead, 104 new fire trucks had already been supplied to the Rural Fire Service across NSW, but there's more to come.

Another 119 vehicles will be issued in bushfire-prone areas before the end of the year.

NSW premier Mike Baird said on Friday the government had invested $30 million in the firefighting fleet to ensure the state's firefighters were Australia's best-equipped.

"We have the best firefighters in the country and the NSW Government is ensuring they have access to the best and latest equipment and technology," Mr Baird said in a statement.
