'Not guilty' plea to crashing into home

A man accused of crashing his car into a house in Sydney's northwest, hospitalising a teenage girl, has pleaded not guilty to two charges.

The 14-year-old girl was standing on the front veranda of the Windsor Downs home on June 21 with three other people when Jason Mansweto allegedly careered towards them in his car.

The 41-year-old crashed into the home, injuring them, police say.

A 25-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital with serious head and leg injuries, while the 14-year-old girl was treated for lacerations and bruising to her legs and feet.

During a brief court appearance at Windsor Local Court on Wednesday, Mansweto pleaded not guilty to two counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

He has not entered pleas in relation to the other offences, which include one count of negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and another of using an unregistered vehicle.

Mansweto, whose licence has been suspended, will reappear at Penrith Local Court in September.
