* April 2008: Peter Edmonds, 16, fatally attacked by a large shark while bodyboarding at Ballina's Lighthouse Beach.
* September 2014: Paul Wilcox killed by great white shark at Clarkes Beach.
* February 2015: Surfer Jabez Reitman mauled at Seven Mile Beach.
* February 2015: Surfer Tadashi Nakahara killed by great white shark at Shelly Beach.
* July 2015: Bodyboarder Mathew Lee mauled by great white shark.
* July 2015: Surfer Craig Ison mauled at Main Beach.
* November 2015: Sam Morgan mauled by bull shark at Lighthouse Beach.
* September 2016: Surfer Cooper Allen mauled at Lighthouse Beach.
* May 2017: Great white shark jumps into Terry Selwood's boat at Evans Head, injuring the 73-year-old fisherman.
