No ID on swimmer found dead in Byron Bay

Police are calling for help to identify a male swimmer found dead in the waters off a Byron Bay beach.
About 4pm on Wednesday, a woman swimming at Belongil Beach noticed a man's body in the water and, along with another swimmer, dragged the body to the shore.
The man, aged between 65 and 75 years old, could not be revived and his identity is not known.

Police are appealing for public assistance to identify him.
The man's property found on the beach included an older style car key.
