Motorcyclist dies on NSW trail ride

A teenager has died after his motorcycle crashed in rural NSW.

Two 19-year-old men had been riding their motorcycles through Spring Ridge State Forest in the New England region, when one of the riders lost sight of the other.

After riding back along the trail, he discovered the other motorcyclist had fallen and sustained serious injuries.

Emergency services were called about 10am on Saturday, but the injured rider died at the scene.

Investigations into the crash continue and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
