Missing NSW yachtsman's body found

The body of a Sydney man whose yacht was reported missing over the weekend has been recovered on the NSW Central Coast.

Concerns were raised for the 57-year-old from St Leonards, who was believed to be on board a yacht in Broken Bay about 6.30am on Sunday.

Rescue crews searched for the vessel on Monday and Tuesday without success.

A member of the public found the man's body on Forresters Beach, near Terrigal, about 7am on Wednesday.

A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
