Missing NSW woman found safe

A missing Sydney woman with a medical condition has been found safe and well following a late night police search in Sydney's northwest.

Leonie Cavanagh, 65, was last seen at her home in Duneba Drive at Westleigh about 9am on Friday and when she did not return, her family and friends became concerned and alerted police.

Ms Cavanagh was found just before 1am on Saturday morning following an extensive ground and air police search around bushland areas.
