Man walking home hit over head by stranger

A man walking home from a pub near Newcastle was left bleeding from the head after being attacked by a stranger.
The 28-year-old man told police he was hit over the head by a stranger while walking in Raymond Terrace just after 6pm on Wednesday.
He was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
