Man stabbed, residents assaulted in NSW

A man allegedly slashed another man with a knife and threatened him with a glass bottle before assaulting two others who complained about him doing burnouts on the NSW Central Coast.

Police say the 19-year-old stabbed a 21-year-old man in the abdomen and hand on Thursday night after confronting him while he was walking home with a friend on a street in Umina Beach.

The teen then allegedly followed the man as he fled to a nearby caravan, where he threatened him with a bottle until being forced out by the vehicle's occupants.

Police say he got back in his car and later assaulted a man and woman who approached him about doing burnouts in their street in Ettalong Beach.

The 19-year-old was later arrested at Umina Beach and on Friday will face court on charges including assault and aggravated breaking and entering.
