Man stabbed at home in Sydney's west

A woman has been charged after a man she knew was stabbed in the chest in Sydney's west.

Police allege the 39-year-old was injured in Whalan after being confronted at his front door by two men and a 23-year-old woman.

They say he left the Gasmata Crescent address after being attacked before he was allegedly tackled by the woman.

Police were called to the scene and the man was taken to Westmead Hospital.

The woman was taken to Mount Druitt police station where she was charged with breach of bail.

She was refused bail and is due to appear in Mount Druitt Local Court on Monday.
