Man's body found at Newcastle beach

A man's body has been found at a Newcastle beach.

Police were called to Bar Beach near Newcastle just after 6am on Monday.

A crime scene has been set up, but police say the death doesn't appear to be suspicious.

The man, believed to be aged in his 60s, has not yet been formally identified.

Police are appealing for people who may find any clothing or personal items on the beach to come forward.
