Man rescued from floodwaters in NSW

A man trapped inside his car in flood waters in central NSW has been rescued by SES volunteers.

The man was caught in a floodway near Forbes and rescued on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident comes hours after NSW SES and the weather bureau renewed flood warnings for inland NSW asked drivers to avoid floodwaters.

Flood warnings have been issued for the Warrego, Paroo, Namoi, Bogan, Macquarie, Lachlan, Murrumbidgee and Murray rivers.

"You may think it is safe, but it is never safe to drive into floodwaters," a SES spokeswoman said.
