Man refused bail over Sydney drug lab

A 40-year-old man accused of making drugs at a secret lab in Sydney's southwest has been refused bail.

Police searched the Rosemeadow home on Tuesday as part of a probe into methamphetamine manufacturing in the area.

Police seized 70 items from the house, including instructional books for cooking the drug.

Officers linked to the operation also seized 36 rounds of ammunition from a house in Leumeah.

The 40-year-old appeared at Campbelltown Local Court on Tuesday and was refused bail.

He is due to appear at the same court on March 4.
