Man missing off mid-north coast headland

A man is missing after reportedly jumping into the sea this morning at Boomerang Beach, south of Forster, on the NSW mid-north coast.
Emergency services were called to reports of a man missing at the headland near Pacific Palms about 7.15am, a NSW Police Force spokeswoman said.
Officers have been told a man aged in his 20s jumped from the headland into water and was not seen to resurface.

An extensive land and sea search is underway.
As at 3.30pm, the man had not been located, police said.
