The alleged victim suffered a cut to his face and a head injury. 

A man has been hospitalised after being knocked to the ground at Martin Place in Sydney’s CBD.

The 19-year-old was reportedly walking with a group of up to nine people at 3.15am today when a fight broke out.

He was punched several times, then fell to the ground and was kicked by a member of the group, police said.

The offenders were reportedly seen fleeing the area, travelling south along Pitt Street in a taxi.

The injured man was treated for a cut to his face and a head injury, and was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area and believe the people involved may have been known to each other.
