Man killed in two-car crash in NSW

A man has died in a collision between two cars in NSW's Illawarra region while a passenger is in a serious condition.
The driver of one of the cars, a 42-year-old man, died at the scene in Farmborough Heights on Thursday night despite the efforts of paramedics.
An 18-year-old man, who was a passenger in the car, was trapped for several hours. He was airlifted to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Two other passengers in the car, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old woman, were not injured.
The driver of the other car, a 55-year-old man, and his son, 15, were also taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
