Man killed in NSW head-on collision

A 69-year-old man has died in a head-on collision near Forster on the NSW mid-north coast.

Emergency crews were called to the crash at Rainbow Flat on the Pacific Highway on Tuesday afternoon but the man, the sole occupant of the Subaru, couldn't be saved, police say.

An 18-year-old woman who was driving the other vehicle was taken to Port Macquarie District Hospital in a stable condition.
