Man in NSW court for assaulting co-worker

A man is expected to front court on allegations he raped a work colleague in a Sydney ice cream shop last year.

The 30-year-old Nepalese national was working at a gelato store on Edinburgh road, Marrickville, when he allegedly followed his 20-year-old colleague into a locker room as she finished her shift in December last year.

After propositioning her, he allegedly sexually and indecently assaulted her a number of times.

In March he was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and three counts of indecent assault before being released on strict bail conditions.

He is expected to appear at Newtown Local Court on Tuesday.
