A man charged with sex offences after two women were attacked within a month of each other in Sydney's CBD will remain behind bars.

Yongseok Ji, 25, was arrested on Tuesday over the attacks on two women in May and June this year.

The Korean did not apply for bail and it was formally refused when he appeared at Central Local Court on Wednesday.

Police allege Ji approached a 34-year-old woman from behind while she was walking into The Domain in Sydney on May 11.

He allegedly indecently assaulted her before she kicked him and he ran away.

A month later on June 11, Ji allegedly grabbed another woman from behind while she was walking in Haymarket in the early hours of the morning.

Police say he sexually assaulted her before fleeing.

Shortly afterwards, Ji is accused of attacking her again, this time pushing her to the ground before running off.

He has been charged with sexual assault, common assault, and five counts of indecent assault.

He is due to reappear in court in September.
