Man in court for fatal drink driving crash
A young man accused of a fatal drink driving accident that killed a teenager in Sydney's north has appeared briefly in court.
Michael John Severino, 24, and the 19-year-old woman were driving along Mona Vale Road in Terrey Hills in the early hours of April 10 when police say his car careered off the road and rolled.
The teen died at the scene.
Severino was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with non life-threatening injuries and was later charged with numerous offences.
These include dangerous driving occasioning death while under the influence of alcohol, negligent driving, high-range PCA and driving with a passenger without a seatbelt.
The 24-year-old did not enter any pleas when he appeared at Manly Local Court on Thursday.
The matter is set to return in August at Windsor Local Court.
