Man hospitalised after bottle assault

A 24-year-old man is in hospital in Sydney after being struck with a bottle.
Police were called to King St, Newtown just after 10pm on Friday following reports of an assault.
They were told the man was outside a restaurant with friends when they were approached by a man and a woman and an altercation ensued.
