Man held after body found in Sydney bin

A man has been arrested after a male body was found crammed inside a garbage bin in Sydney's northwest.

Homicide detectives are continuing investigations after the body of a man believed to be a 26-year-old Korean national, was found in a suburban waste bin in Epping on Saturday evening.

A 26-year-old Korean man was taken to Ryde police station on Monday following the suspicious death before being handed over to immigration officials in the evening.

The man is currently in a detention centre at Villawood as police continue their inquiries into the death.
