Man goes missing from NSW Hunter hospital

An 86-year-old man recovering from a stroke has gone missing from Maitland Hospital in the NSW Hunter Valley.

Herbert "Nobby" Bartlett was last seen at 9.10am on Monday, where he has been receiving care since suffering a stroke six weeks ago.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, 155-160cm tall, with white/grey short hair and was last seen wearing a blue pyjama top with fine white stripes and ash/cream-coloured shorts.

Police and Mr Bartlett's family are concerned as he requires medication and it's believed he could be in the Maitland, Kurri Kurri or Weston areas.
