Man found unconscious on Sydney footpath

A man is in serious condition in hospital after he was found unconscious on a Sydney footpath.

The 28-year-old was found late on Friday night after police responded to reports a man had been assaulted at a licensed premises in Parramatta.

Police were told he had been hit in the head by an unknown person.
