Man found in critical condition on street after 'running along roof' in Newcastle

A man is in a critical condition after he was found unconscious on a Newcastle street in the early hours of this morning.

The 23-year-old was found in Hunter Street with head injuries, a short time after he was refused entry to a hotel on King Street.

Witnesses have told officers a man was seen running along the roof of a building nearby, shortly before the man was found injured on the street. 

Police are investigating if this was the same person.

The man was taken to John Hunter Hospital, where he is reported to be in a critical condition.
