Man fighting for life after stair fall

A man is fighting for his life after apparently falling down a staircase at a hotel in Albury.

Police said the 45-year-old was rushed to hospital after being found at the bottom of the stairwell with serious head injuries early on Tuesday morning.

He remains in a critical condition at Albury Base Hospital.

Police have set up a crime scene and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
