Man extradited to NSW over sex attack
AAP
A Tasmanian man will be extradited to NSW to be charged over the violent sexual assault of a woman in the state's Riverina region more than 20 years ago.
Police allege the man, who was 20 at the time, attacked the 21-year-old victim while she was walking home near the Griffith railway yards early on February 19, 1994.
She was allegedly sexually assaulted a number of times, assaulted and robbed before the man fled.

Police says detectives made a breakthrough in the case in late 2016 and travelled to Hobart this week to arrest the man, 43.
He is expected to appear at Central Local Court on Thursday.
