Man charged with hindering murder probe

A man has been charged with hindering the investigation into the stabbing murder of a 21-year-old man in Sydney's west.

Strike Force Leeward was established to investigate the death of a man in Mistral Street, Greenfield Park, on August 19.

A 20-year-old man was arrested at a Merrylands home on Wednesday and later charged with hindering a police investigation.

Police will allege that information provided by the man hindered their inquiries.

The accused was granted conditional bail to appear at Fairfield Local Court on March 16.
