Man charged over Sydney unit shooting

A man has been charged after another man was shot in the leg when he answered the door of his western Sydney apartment last month.

The 30-year-old was shot after two men, one armed with a pistol and one with a knife, entered his Wentworth Point home in the early hours of April 26, police say.

The pair allegedly fired a number of shots before fleeing.

On Friday afternoon a 32-year-old-man was arrested after a car crash in Padstow.

He has been charged with discharging a firearm and special aggravated break and enter and is due to face Parramatta bail court on Saturday.
