Man charged over Sydney robbery spree

A man has been charged over a spate of robberies in the Sydney suburb of Campsie, including a home invasion in which an elderly man was assaulted.
In the first robbery on March 6, a taxi driver was threatened with a sharp object and had cash, a mobile phone and other belongings stolen.
Another cabbie was the second target on March 15 and was robbed of cash.

On March 21, a 78-year-old man alone in his house was assaulted during a home invasion by two men who stole cash and other personal belongings.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery and aggravated break, enter and steal.
He will appear in Burwood Local Court on Tuesday.
