Man charged over Syd train stalking

A man who allegedly indecently assaulted a woman on a Sydney train has been charged with stalking.

The 28-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday over the alleged attack at Liverpool train station on November 21.

Police say the 31-year-old woman tried to leave on a train but was allegedly followed through several carriages by the man.

Members of the public came to the woman's aid when she left the train at Warwick Farm.

The man was charged with stalking/intimidating fear of physical harm, and assault with an act of indecency.

He was granted strict conditional bail and is expected to face Bankstown Local Court in January.
