Man charged for chaining man to tree

The kidnapping of a man who was chained to a tree in a NSW national park was drug-related, police say.

A farmer stumbled across the bound 32-year-old in Cocoparra National Park, near Griffith, on Monday morning.

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping between January 17 and 19.

He was refused bail and will appear in Griffith Local Court on Wednesday.
