Man charged following Sydney pursuit

A 24-year-old man has been charged with drug offences and failing to stop following a police pursuit in Sydney's southwest.

About 3pm on Tuesday police spotted a Toyota Yaris driving at speed. Officers stopped the vehicle before the driver allegedly drove away, throwing a bag allegedly containing drugs out of the car before running into bushland.

The man was later seen getting into another vehicle and was subsequently arrested. He will appear in Liverpool Local Court on Wednesday.
