Man charged after Sydney nightclub fight
A man is due to face court after he allegedly broke another man's nose during a fight in Sydney's south on the weekend.
Police have been told a 22-year-old man made an obscene gesture to a 20-year-old man at a nightclub in Gymea on Saturday night, before walking away.
A short time later, the older man ran towards the younger man and allegedly assaulted him a number of times.
The injured man was taken to Sutherland Hospital where he received stitches for a cut to his lip.
He is also expected to undergo surgery for a broken nose.
The 22-year-old handed himself in to Sutherland Police Station on Sunday afternoon and was charged with reckless grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
He was granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on February 19.
It's believed the men are known to each other, police said.
